Course Overview
Social Work Level 4 introduces learners to the knowledge, practical skills and professional values needed to support individuals, families and communities.
The programme provides a strong foundation in social work, communication, community support, client care, social welfare and working with vulnerable groups. It is suitable for learners who want to begin a career in social services and community-based support.
Social Work Level 4 is recognized under the TVET-CDACC framework. TVETA currently lists Social Work as a Level 4 programme.

Entry Requirements
- KCSE mean grade E, or
- Completion of KNQF Level 3, or
- Equivalent qualification as determined by the relevant regulatory body.
Certification
Successful learners are assessed under the TVET-CDACC competency-based system and receive the relevant Level 4 qualification upon meeting the required assessment and certification requirements.
Progression
After completing Level 4, learners can progress to Social Work Level 5, subject to the applicable entry and progression requirements. TVETA lists Social Work at Levels 4, 5 and 6.
