Course Overview
Social Work Level 5 is a competency-based TVET programme designed to equip learners with practical knowledge and skills to support individuals, families and communities facing social, economic and psychosocial challenges.
The programme prepares learners to work with vulnerable groups, provide social support, participate in community development activities, connect clients with relevant services and contribute to social welfare programmes. The course combines classroom learning with practical training to develop professional, communication and problem-solving skills.
The programme is offered under the TVET-CDACC framework.

Entry Requirements
- KCSE mean grade D (Plain) or
- A relevant Level 4 qualification
- Equivalent qualifications may be considered according to applicable TVET requirements.
Certification
Successful learners are assessed under the TVET-CDACC competency-based system and receive the relevant Level 5 qualification upon meeting the required assessment and certification requirements.
